where to get DSP True Speech Audio CODEC?

im using vista home premium and ym beta 9.0 the problem is i cant install tsp codec my system32 deny it?what to do?

I needed this DSP True Speech Audio CODEC for my medical transcription player (which was a free download on Express Scribe) to play my wav files on my new laptop that had Vista. A fellow transcriber led me to this site...

I got a free download of the True Speech Audio CODEC with a few simple clicks, and I could play my wav files now on Express Scribe player. It was so much simpler than the large amount of steps noted above which I tried and was unsuccessful. Maybe this will work for you.

doesnt this seem just a wee bit to complicated....i mean how is it possible that vista has been out for this long, and these issues are still popping up...i dont get it

I first tried Faizi’s method and got the Yahoo VoIP to work, but it quit working after two calls. I then tried Shreeram Iyer’s method and did the uninstall/reinstall as directed. The Yahoo Voice now works, so maybe the reinstallation is a key. At least it was for me. I’m running Windows XP Media Center 2005 edition, and I used S. Iyer’s site recommendation for the codec. Good Luck!!

I would like to volunteer some info that I did when I had this problem. I re-installed yahoo messenger 8.0 on my computer. I was then able to hear the chat room and get voice in the chat room.

I ran Vista for about a week tryed everything to get that codec working and it just didnt want to work,,,why didnt microhell add the Truespeech into vista anyways they like ruining a good thing,,,Welp im back on XP PRO and everything is working fine.

I HAD THAT SAME PROBLEM FOR LIKE 2 YRS I JUST FIXED IT . HERES THE WEBSITE AND WHEN YOU DOWNLOAD IT AND SAVE IT SOMEWHERE YOU CAN GO BACK AND RETRIEVE IT. COPY IT FROM THE PLACE YOU DOWNLOADED IT AND OPEN YOUR C://DRIVE AND FIND WINDOWS AND WHEN YOU OPEN WINDOWS YOU SHOULD SEE SYSTEM32 OPEN THAT AND PASTE THE TRUE CODEC THERE AND THEN IT SHOULD ASK YOU HOW YOU WANT TO OPEN THE PROGRAM CLICK ON BROWSE AND FIND YAHOO MESSENGER CLICK ON IT AND OPEN THEN U SHOULD SEE THE ICON IN FROM THE TRUE CODES U INSTALLED CHAGE TI THE YAHOO SMILEY THEN CLICK OK. NOW WHEN U GO TO THE YAHOO ROOMS YOU HAVE TO USE TEH CAPTURE THINGY WHEN U GO INTO THE ROOM ITS ONLY U AND SOMETHING ELSE CLICK ON THE LINK IN THE PAGE AND PUT IN THE SET OF NUMBERS AND WHEN THE ROOM OPENS IT SHOULD WORK. hi. i too have no voice on messenger and i have vista.. i downloaded dsp group true speech audio codec 1.1.1.5 when i got to tssoft32 i could not find $winnt$.inf in the file. so i downloaded it but it is not activated because i do not have $winnt$.inf. does anyone know how i could get it?

i have vista and no voice on yahoo messenger. i downloaded dsp group true speech audio codec 1.1.1.5 followed all the steps. when i got to system32 i do not have $winnt$.inf in the file. how can i select it if i dont have it? can someone tell me how to activate the audio codec that i have already downloaded. thank you in advance!
