I have a Xp crystal edition, the problem is even after following all the steps, I still cannot see “DSP Group TrueSpeech Audio Codec” in the list after i select either "$winnt$.inf” or “mmdriver.inf”. I did not had any tssoft32.acm in the system files, so i downloaded and copied it to the directory as mentioned in the solutions above. Any suggestions as to what could be the problem.

But I have Yahoo Messenger 8..My OS is WinXP Pro sp2.Do I need to uninstall it?
If I have to,then will i remove it completely by going to Control Panel->Add Remove Programs?
Also my Audio Codec Properties in Device Manager is showing “Microsoft PCM Converter”!!!
It doesnot list any other codec!!!Why???
What should I do with this above codec?Should I remove this first?

all you have to do is input the link, should have a file box pop up, save it to disk ( comp ) and it should go into your download files, you do NOT need to place it anywhere special

then test it.

if it works for VISTA PREMIUM then it should work for ULTIMATE...there’s not any difference only just added features, same OS just different features, i went from basic to premium and it’s working fine for me. remember it’s usually 97% operator error
