Unknown Tag 2000

HI

I have an AVI file whose audio stream Compression property is Unknown[Tag 2000]. I can play it after downloading The codec in any players.

The problem is

I want to convert the file into MPEG and i did so with TMPGenc and the resulting file has no sound

Can anyone help me?

This tag refers to AC3 audio.
You will require a proper CODEC for this.

If you want to convert the file to MPEG,
use Virtualdub to demultiplex the audio then AC3DEC to convert the AC3 file to WAV
