The Tag2000 audio thing that’s downloadable from that site is basically the AC3Filter. If you downloaded the AC3Filter from its site, it would work the same.

One thing that might be the problem is setting the volume levels. If you choose a preset of Loud, audio should come out just fine.

I think I AC3Filter before I had the tag2000 codec, and WMP still bought up the error...

Fantastic, works like a charm. If you download movies, and there isn’t audio, but you look at the properties in WINAMP and it says 5ch audio, then the ac3filter is what you need.

ok i think from the post i am the only one with a problem from this

i have the codec but when i try to run the direct setup thingy it pops up the disppears without a trace

any ideas?

Hi All,

I’m sorry but when i want open the movie with VirtualDub 1.5.10, i have a error msg, No Decompressor found. Tag 2000....

I already install AC3Filter, but it’s no working.

I have exactly the same problem as Piousteph. I want to get an .mpg movie with subtitles from an AVI without subtitles. To do that I have to use VirtualDub, but when I open the movie with it and try to play it, the program can’t play the sound because it can’t found an audio decompress to decompress this audio format. When I go to File/File Information, I can see that the compression is tag 2000.
Please, help us!!!!
