Installed codec DOESNT work?

I just downloaded an episode of Sex & The City from BearShare and I tried to play it but there was no sound. VideoInspector tells me that this needs one of the following codecs to be installed: Windows Media Audio V2 / DivX Audio {WMA) / Alex AC3 Audio. It also tells me that at least of these codecs are installed - and yet the file still won’t play with sound?! I just installed ALL of those codecs (not 100% sure if they are upto date)..and yeah, nothing

Can anyone help?
