I’m trying to rip this audio known as a .HIS file from a pc game. The reason I want it is because I like the score of the game, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what kind of file it is. I know it’s audio because some of the newer titles from the same company actually work when I ripped them, but a fewer of the older titles won’t work with any media player. I’ve been using Media Player Classic for all of these files and when I can’t get them to work it says “Cannot render the file." Sometimes, it will pop up with a search for codec request but from this certain game it won’t search for codecs. Is there some setting where I can get it to pop up a search whenever I can’t get it to render a file? I am running out of ideas on how to figure this out so if anyone can help me I’d really appreciate it. I don’t know much about ripping music either so please excuse my newbieness.
