Have tag 2000 but audio distorted. PLZ HELP

Hi! I recently downloaded a movie and it worked fine until I was burning some other files and had to download a few other programs, and now when i try to play it, the audio wont work. Windows media player says file is corrupted or not supported (it played it before) and divx player plays it but audio is distorted. Gspot says i have the correct audio codec but it will not render. it says cannot playback file. The file is not supported. Virtual dub says under audio compression unknown tag 2000. I have screen shots of virtual dub file info and gspot but do not know how to post them. any help would be greatly appreciated. I have researched on the net for three days and still have not figured it out. Thanks in advance.
