Hey folks.
I’m sorry if this seems a silly question.
I get the topic as a message when I start up a animé episode that I want to view.
Underneath is an information box that says:
This file contains an audio track in an unknown format. You may need to install a DirectShow decoder for this format in order to hear the soundtrack of this file
How do I figure out what what format the file is in?
gspot
http://www.headbands.com/gspot
if it reports the needed audio codec is tag 2000 (8192), then you’ll need the AC3 filter.
Yha so I had same problem and used Gspot and it said the codex was
0x706d (FAAD AAC)
Well That cant be found lol
Why dont you try this player? www.mpcstar.com I also had this same problem with one of my DTB episodes , which was in mkv format. The audio format was not supported either.
However this mpcstar player could play the vid.
i had a solution download total video player here : http://download.cnet.com/Total-Video-Player/3000-2139_4-10552696.html
I had a sound problem too plus a small annoying box in the middle of the screen -____-
Just download this filter
it worked like a charm
AC3Filter:
