after posting my request for the codec I tried the 'mplayer2' trick and like others I had no sound...but, I found that if you drop security settings to their lowest values plus under the 'Advanced' tab in IE prop. you have to enable 'Install On Demand (other)'....then just play the file that needs 'tag 75' in your current version of 'MediaPlayer'...it downloads the codec without error and seems to work perfectly!!!

p.s. be certain to return your security settings to your norm. and the 'Install On Demand' setting...unless you like Spyware and Adware that is...GOOD LUCK!!!
