Sure, if you use any popular file-sharing software such as Kazaa or iMesh, then just select software and search for codec 2000. You will come up with a Nemo Pack or DivX bundle full of all the codecs you should ever need.

Hi
Like others I have downloaded movie torrents that have no audio and say there is a tag 2000 error. Downloading the AC3 filter didn’t help (sometimes made the situation worse and the picture when awol). DIVX player couldn’t read files with this tag problem, running the file thru video repair progs didn’t sort it. I couldn’t find anything
to help altho searched the net extensively.., til today (after downloading another file with the same problem.., grrrh).
Anyway, go to

Download the file and install it into the DIVX codec directory.
My video file then played perfectly.
This person should be given a nobel prize!
As I am learning with torrent, u should never give up lol! Now I’ve just got to redownload all the other files (that I deleted eventually) with the same problem!

This here is the AC3Filter or something very similar:

It is for audio. The AC3Filter won’t affect anything to do with the video. If you got messed up video, there’s some other thing going wrong. This will work all the same:

Thanks!!! That link is most helpful, but it should be noted that it doesnt fix the problem when trying to run the movie in Window Media Player.

It should work. I run movies with AC3 audio using the AC3Filter. They work fine in Windows Media Player and all the other media players I use.

I used that to fix my tag 2000 problems but even though it fixed the sound its ruined my movies and now this green colour flashes onscreen, while some movies are just completely covered with it... any1 know how to fix this?

Hey guys cheers for the help with finding that codec. But now that i installed that AC3 filter no sound on any of my video files work. I tried reinstalling all my codecs but still no sound not even on the ones fixed by the AC3 filter. Could someone please help me?

Is there anything that can be done if the video and audio aren’t sequenced perfectly, or should I just assume that’s a product with the file itself? For example, in Band of Brothers, there’s about a one second pause between the person’s lips moving and the sound coming out. Thanks in advance.
