i tried replacing the two driver files imaadp32.acm and Msadp32.acm on winxp and it keeps saying initializing directsound failed. im trying the cm8330 files now. what do u do with them? do you put them into the c:\windows\system32 folder?
Thanks Guys i follow the steps and all is working fine! Im on an XP SP2 plataform but now i can enjoy this Private Nurse Game! Thanks a lot :-)
kpkpkp once you have downloaded both files put them in the “c:\windows\system32” folder. Before that backup the original files i put them msadp32.acmVIEJO and Imaadp32acm.OLD is an example you can rename the original files as you want. Then put the dowloaded files in the same folder. I reboot pc and all goes fine “with soud” good luck
Does anybody have both imaadp32.acm and Msadp32.acm version 5.0? I tried the 4.0 version but it doesn’t do anything. I’m currently using win XP sp2. I remembered in earlier post that u should not use version that is prior to 5.0!
Sorry to bump this old thread but I have a similiar problem and can’t figure out what to do.
Can anybody help me out with my sound problem please?
Heres a picture of the messages I get:
First I get this one,

then I press Yes
and I get this message,

I choose Yes again and it starts the game of course with no sound.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)
