Suggestion with manualy installing the codec worked for me on XP Home as well. Good luck everyone.

I’m running XP pro and I couldn’t play a gsm file. I followed Marco’s advice and hit the mmdriver.inf file then added msgsm and now I am good to go! Worked like a charm. Thanks a bunch for the help.

What about Win 98.
I cannot find any way to get it.

I forgot to say:
it’s working well on the system, I can play the game with sound (Grandia II), but when I want to play the isolated .wav in the CD, becauses songs are not bad, I cannot, whatever player I use.

marco, you are a genius. don’t know how you figured that workaround out, it would never have occurred to me that the damn codec was in my pc the whole time! maybe it’s simply all about learning. opened my eyes, it has. thanks mate.)

I have 2 computer. I have the problem with msadpcm file. I have tried what you have said but i dont see anything to install. I have done this on the other computer and i can istall it i mean I get the “windows logo” thing to continue installation! And i found the driver i need, but i cannot access that one on the computer that i need, the game that needs that file crashes after couple of seconds!
Please Help

I can’t find the file MSADP32.ACM that it asks for when installing the Codec anywhere in my computer or on the disc. Can anyone help? Thanks a ton.
