ac3 codec installed still no sound.

hello.
get error tag8192 when i try to play some movies.
gspot gives me 0x80040265: VFW_E_UNSUPPORTED_STREAM - cannot play back the file.
the format not supported.
gspot also tells me i have 2 audo codecs and 4 videco coded installed.
tried a different ac3 codec did not work.
anyone ?

same pb here, the sound is crap (tried on tears of the sun & solaris...) what did i miss? !
